He's been dropping hints at not being entirely happy with recruitment like, let's hope he's playing a blinder to light a fire under the powers that be for to lose a good manager at this stage is shit like.
I know I’m a pessimist, fair enough. But even if Neil turns Stoke down what if this unwanted episode is the start of a breakdown in trust and in turn the start of a poor run of attitude and form. Either way the situation could be a lose-lose.

Could understand if it was a club in the premier league or maybes Sheffield United but f***ing Stoke.

Geography, control and conditions. It’s entirely understandable.

We’re a club that has spent four years in league one, Stoke are a club with wealthy owners and established in the second division. Stripping aside our fanbase, it’s not really a backward step for him.

Why have we granted them permission????
That's my worry. Even if he does stay, it shows he is not happy at all.

If it was a Premier league job you'd sort of accept it, as a huge jump in pay and opportuniy, but Stoke aren't far off where we are at this point, possibly a bit more cash to offer, but they are in the doldrums whereas we were seemingly on an upward trajectory.

Stinks of bad behind the scenes stuff to be desperate to make a sidestep like that
