I agree with this totally, he was wasteful at times last year and still scored a hatfull. Imagine if he sharpened up a tiny bit… he’s still class in this league mind
I actually think he needs to improve on his finishing a bit but he offers so much more than just scoring goals.

his all round game is just great for us

he can run onto stuff, he presses defenders, he defends for us, and scores with both feet and his noggin

for what we paid for him we really got our moneys worth..hats off to whoever scouted him

I’m genuinely already a bit sad for the day he leaves.

The lad is a class act, I hope he goes on to have a top career in this country because he’s doing everything to warrant it at the minute. (Hopefully with us).

Even without his goals he’s a quality striker, a real team player who’s work rate is superb.

Loved his role in the opening goal at Bristol City, hassled the defender, won the ball with a textbook slide tackle which allowed Sims to score. Brilliant.

£350k for Stewart is one of the best bits of transfer business we’ve done in living memory.

Was obviously way too good for League One level and fully expected him to be able to step up to the Championship but didn’t expect him to look such a class act already. Think he’ll be regarded as one of the best players in the league by the time the season is out.
Iirc Phillips cost the same

absolutely love the guy to bits. never puts up a fuss and always willing to put in the hard graft. add on top he's actually very good footballer it's a perfect blend.

He is a true Sunderland player but will never fault the lad if he moves on for riches in the PL
