Nothing to stop you drawing from south Durham (or anywhere come to that.) it’s a lot easier to get to your place than ours from there. Build better.
Yes there is, history and tradition. Back on the days of the dinosaurs and the foot league was a new fangled thing Sunderland were the top club in the NE people then like now were drawn to success. Once drawn family tradition kicks in sons followed sons, hence large swathes of the north became the red and white stripe Verity. Also counties may have been more important then, I don't know. However to really alter the balance of power now we would need to become really successful. This ain't gonna happen without a billionaire sugar daddy, I just cannot see one at the moment.

Hold on, you lot keep telling us you’ve won a cup and been to a European final both almost 20 years ago. Why has what you say made our support bigger not worked for you then ??????

I don't keep telling you that, and besides football allegiances are well engrained now after a 100 plus years. We may well have made a small amount of progress in that regards, but it would many years of top prem finishes champ league football and numerous cup wins to make large inroads into your Durham support. I ask you is that going to happen. I think not.

Taking the car down as no trains back, where can you park?
I always park near the transporter bridge or you could park in the college car park .if your heading north you need to be on that side .
Obviously as an away fan it's on opposite side of ground.
You may get sussed with only having 1 head alllegedly 🤣

Got absolutely nowt against Boro at all but suspect it's probably a catchment area thing. Grew up and live in predominantly Mag areas of Northumberland and honestly can't recall knowingly coming across any Boro fans in this part of the world.

Worked in Billingham for a year a while back, the place I was at were mainly boro supporters but quite a few of us and the mags.
The difference was ;
Boro didnt like anyone, including themselves.
Safc were all canny, reasonable and tolerant folk.
Mages were just as arrogant and delusional as they are today.
Not a slightly biased reflection then ?

Boro were top dogs before the Mags existed and we werent yet a FL club. You missed your chance;)

Youve been far more succesful than us since Robson was gaffer. Where are your drawn to success fans?

the modest success during the Robbo years was never going to be enough to draw many ingrained Sunderland fans from the south Durham area
