Our away end

Stood beside a family of three who’ve openly admitted “they don’t want to sing”

We need to purge our away support of people like this.
Who made you boss of everyone? Folk go to the game to watch football, some make a noise, others don't. Watch the game, make a noise if you want but don't dictate. You aren't a better fan than them, show a bit of respect for your fellow Sunderland fans. You have had some success with your flags fair play but we don't need that Palace uber attitude. Have a bit think.

It's an interesting point. If you travel the length and breadth of the country following the lads, but never actaully chant or shout support at the games, is it classed as 'support' ?

Oh aye they are entitled to watch the match as they please, but I'm entitled to think they aren't actually supporting. Just spectating
I mean im with you don’t see the point in travelling all that way and not having a singalong …

But they’ve travelled all that way to the game so they are definitely supporting the lads.

That’s my takeaway fwiw

I'd say its spectating. Unless it's support if you go to any sporting event and just watch it.
