New Stadium Measures

I'll be very interested to see what happens in terms of the north stand (especially as I sit there with my 8 year old!). The impression I get from someone who attended the meeting was the the club are very much taking it seriously and that further measures are likely to be introduced. There was also an understanding that there was a time element to this and that it couldn't drag on and on. Obviously nothing above and beyond the measures in this article are going to be in place for QPR, but I'll ask RAWA if there's any progress shortly afterwards. It's all well and good looking at upcoming fixtures and thinking they are fairly low risk until Millwall, but as morecambe showed it doesn't need to be a high risk game to have an idiot or a few idiots throwing stuff that could seriously hurt a supporter in the north stand. Hopefully these initial measures will help but whether stewards at the back will really see much in a standing crowd I'm not convinced, and I don't think stewards are much of a deterrent either. But as I say, the impression is that the club are taking it seriously so fingers crossed there'll be further announcements sooner rather than later

Well taking two weeks to make any meaningful statement on it doesn't look good.
Did they? This is the third statement that they've released by my count. One straight after the incident to condemn and say they're looking into it, one to say they're upping the stewarding and one to reiterate this and provide info about what this will mean on match day. Given they aren't gonna move the away fans till summer 23 at the earliest and that any proposed netting will need to be properly investigated (and would take a fair old while to implement), I don't really know how much more they can do in a short period of time.

the SWC serves carling. the SEC and South Stand serve coors. not great but 10x pint than the carling. last game we went in the SEC about half an hour before kick off, had a pint there then walked round. it's to stop that, and make sure people actually stay in their area to prevent congestion.

try serving better beer in the other areas. would help.

Davison bottling addressing the north stand issue and pointing the finger at our own fans

Appreciate the roker end isn’t perfect but the away fans are peppering our own fans with flares, bottles etc and all he’s done is some token gesture training

Blokes a wanker
It literally says away fans will be subject to sterner searches.

Coors and Carling are both really poor pints IMO. Even worse in the SOL. Would happily pay a bit more for a better beer.

I would imagine they’re prioritising the South Stand because of the fact they’ve been written to by the SGSA as a matter of urgency.

What an incredible coincidence. After years of people migrating (people from South Stand also migrate to north btw) they suddenly receive a letter immediately after the game north standers decide enough is enough and will sit elsewhere until a net is up.

Amazing.

Does this mean I’m not going to have to show my season ticket multiple times to get to my seat? If so, great.
It was causing bottlenecks at the cov game, I'm first row first seat so I got to see the pile up at the foot of the stairs first hand. Going to cause issues if it's enforced more.

Hopefully means an end to all those young kids coming around to the North Stand and spend more time looking up at the away end giving them middle finger gestures
