10 teenagers found guilty of murder in Houghton case

From what I gather the main culprit is. As it said in the published court case notes (I don’t think I’m saying anything untoward here if it’s publicly available), one of them had moved with his family from a different area to try and avoid slipping further into knife gang culture. Instead of a clean start his family have tried to give him he’s brought that culture with him and ruined multiple lives.
Must be gutting for your bairn to turn out to be a horrible twat

Thats why I jacked my job of 22 years in recently, sick of putting up with gangs of kids who knew they were untouchable and behaved accordingly. I fkg despair for the state of this country now and its only going to get worse. The parents and grandparents of these c**** actually think they're hard done by as well.

I don’t want to derail the thread from its main discussion point but when local authorities are under funded by central governments and initiatives that are designed to prevent vulnerable young families from going off the straight and narrow are cut and abandoned it has real life consequences.

But despite that, and whilst it’s understandable you feel how you do, I’m still convinced that for every bunch of evil little shits there are also some absolutely fantastic kids who are doing brilliant things either for their communities, friends or families. Often under the radar. They give hope for the future

I’m a bit surprised that some of the names haven’t appeared on social media mind, I was having a look about to see if I recognised and of the family names as I probably went to school with some of their grandparents/ parents, but never came across any.
Somehow my reply got added to your post don't know how I managed to do that

I agree, but scratters always outbreed decent people.

Instead of running scared of these families the community needs to turn on them. I know it’s difficult to do, but maybe giving them more grief than they can ever give out is the only way forward. Get stocks built, grab the ***** randomly put them in them and let the community hoy piss and shit on them. Oh and post it all on Facebook of course.

If someone had killed my son and got eight years then when they got out they would have to fear for their lives forever cause I'd do whatever I could to get hold of them and butcher the little cretins till I no longer walked this Earth.

Hopefully they all have a real bad time in borstal/jail, wherever they go and are given some memories that'll last them the rest of their lives.

Wonder how many of the supporters of these little bastards have ever sat there and said things like 'the justice system is a joke in this country ' when the sun runs some storey about a nonce only getting 8 years or an Asian getting a lenient sentence for something

The joint enterprise law is fantastic in my opinion. In fact, I think the sentence in this case are lenient if anything

My lass works in a secondary school in Peterlee, she's so sweet and naive sometimes, things like this scare the shit out of me . So close to home
