China Taiwan war

I don’t think so, not yet at least. I think they’ll continue to sit back and watch their mates with vast land and resources to the north get weaker by the day with more interest and Taiwan is a nice opportunity for a bit of power play and reminders to the world about how they feel over the subject. China are playing the long game imo.

Yeah, they have done Vlad up like a kipper. It will take time but they will want discounted natural resources to give them a competitive edge. Also, once Russia has finished cannibalising it's tanks from the museums and sending them to the front line, there will be a huge arms contract in it for them as well.

China only care about China.

It’s our fault. We were victorious in WW2, we were allied with America, they defeated Japan in the Pacific who lost territories and the rest is literally, History.

Could it happen?

I doubt it although I'm still a bit baffled what Pelosi was trying to achieve with her visit.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I thought they may try this when Russia kicked off, but they've got mortgage strikes going on and a bit of a housing crisis - I don't think it would be the smartest move right now

I was watching an 'Uncommon Knowledge' video yesterday (I know they'll be politically biased) but the guest did make an interesting comparison between Putin and Xi Jinping.

His view was that as both took on a more dictatorial role with their countries then the more detached from the reality of situations they become as they make sole decisions, don't take expert advice and are given information that is massaged to suit what they want to hear as opposed to the real facts.

It might at least partly explain Putin and the Ukraine decisions, as well as the possible way Xi Jinping may reach his decisions in regards to Taiwan.

People say this like the US nukes don’t work.
Oh they all work mate . It's just who will take the hit.
Listened to something yesterday saying it's not the nukes that will do us in ( blast , radioactivity and such ) . 250 nukes exchanged would cause fire , the carbon released would reduce temperatures by 6-7 degrees and kill many many crops . Estimated 2 billion die of starvation world wide as supply chains ruined. I'm off down Aldi for some pasta . Rockin it like '63 here .

They’ll nuke the poor folk first.
This time next month sensitive stuff will have to be put behind a spoiler on this thread too.
Not reacting to Russia as lead to this 100%
