Is that the opening bowler? He looked very sharp and had a nice action. Mind I didn’t think his back story was that believable, claimed that he hadn’t really had much of a knowledge at all of the sport of cricket despite coming from Pakistan only a few years prior.
Watched last weeks episode last night, probably be another couple of nights til I get chance to watch this weeks so won’t be up on the crack yet.
Enjoyed it, was a bit cringey at times like given some of the elements of it which I felt were very forced and others which were far too ‘acted out’.
This is the new kid. Afghanistani refugee. Self taught in his yard back home.
The last time he was on a BBC documentary it was about his lifelong battle with eating disorders. Might still be struggling with that? The wife said the same in that he looks poorly.
when is the next one on?
I didn’t even get the chance to play it! My only memory of cricket growing up is how mental the country went for the Ashes in 2005.Wish I'd have played it properly. Played a couple of games for the school. Loved fielding, could catch anything. But couldn't bat or bowl to save my life.
Quit after one match where one of my overs lasted about 13 balls. Really wish I'd carried on.
Didn't know of any local clubs then, there seems to be a few now. Think in late 30s I'm probably a bit old to take it up now!
No chance. Find a local club turn up have a net and a beer. There’s plenty of us been playing for years who still manage to make ourselves look like titsI didn’t even get the chance to play it! My only memory of cricket growing up is how mental the country went for the Ashes in 2005.
I got hooked after watching the World Cup 3 years ago but I was 27 by then. It’s now my favourite sport and I’d love to play but I’d just end up making myself look a tit.

Warwickshire mate. You won't look a tit. What area are you based in?
Warwickshire mate.
Dinnar about that like. Been playing for 30 years and still look out of place in the fieldThere'll be loads of teams looking for extra bodies. It doesn't take too long to get a standard where you're not looking out of place on the field
A little bit of research on Twitter says he’s played for at least local two clubs. Spoils it a bit for me as it was meant to be about lads who’d never played cricket.I refuse to believe this adnan has just tuned up at the session mind![]()
