Coventry fans signing the likes of Doyle and trying to take the piss?

Quite happy with where we are at the moment and the youth and talent coming through thank you very much.

Need a bit more experience, bit more depth and a sprinkling of quality but I think we'll do ok, unless we have really bad luck with injuries.

Like you say he was good on the ball (though in league one him and cirkin sometimes overplayed and invited the opposition onto us) but I just don't think he's a natural defender. He is only 18 now though.

Weirdly the championship might suit him more, teams tend to play a bit more football so less chance of him coming up against the bruiser forwards we saw in league one.

I think if we wanted him, he’d have rejoined.

I think it did work out here. He is young, he got a lot of valuable experience and we got a defender we needed.

The end of the loan period was the right time for him to move elsewhere, I am just amazed its to a Championship side.
 
Genuinely gutted AN didn’t bring him back, he is more than capable of playing in the Championship, huge mistake Imho. That’s two we gave list out on, Twine the best young player in Div1 would have been a great partner to Stewart.

He did in a couple of games early on. Its a big risk playing him in the Championship.
I very much doubt we were in for him. Ballard is way better and I think 09 will be used as our 4th choice centre back. If we sign another CB this summer I may be proved wrong but I highly doubt it.

Early days but Ballard looks an upgrade to me, especially at this point in time with his championship experience already
 
Looked lost in anything other than a back 3 which won't work for us given that AN has so far favoured a back 4

Personally think he'll have a great career. To look as composed and physical as he did at 17 albeit in a lower division is very impressive
