Callum Doyle

Likable lad and very brave. But his lack of mobility and pace will hold him back. Could be wrong because of his age but not sure he will be able to improve his mobility because of his natural body weight.

I'd have him back on loan or permanent, as our left footed CB and LB cover
Nowhere near championship level, looked totally out of his depth in league one. Pretty good on the ball but positioning, aerial ability and mobility was shocking. No coincidence the defence improved a mile when he was taken out of the team. Lad could easily improve like as still very young but I wouldn’t have him back in league 1 never mind a much higher standard.

Totally agree, cannot believe we aren’t taking him on loan

Not ready for the Championship (yet) imo. We need some players who can actually play in the championship as we were a team who scraped into the playoffs in a very poor league and we've signed 1 player so far.

Why bother to post such a negative opinion…..the boy played well but suffered from a disorganised defensive strategy and was runinto the ground. He is talented and gave his all…..well done Callum and thank you.
I tried to make it balanced. We were shipping goals with him in the team and he made a lot of mistakes. Once he was replaced in the team we looked much more solid.
I don't buy into this being flogged, over played, etc. Kids that age should easily manage 2 games a week.

Was on the whole pretty poor for us and cost a lot of goals. Seems a canny lad and hopefully he's learnt from his mistakes and goes on to have a decent career.
Fuck me
The lad was barely 18 and thrust into L1 action week in , week out.
Ran out of steam and confidence which is hardly surprising given the amount of games he played.
I for one wish him well and for me he has got a future in the game

Look at how solid Bailey wright looked after Johnson fucked off
Exactly, the Bolton game we played a high line with Baath, Wright, Doyle, with no protection in front. No wonder we were ran ragged.

Neil came in and saw we had slow defenders but were solid as fuck if played in the right formation. LJ was a joke tactically really, same as Ross and Parky.

Really good player, had a really good first half of the season, and will have a really good career.

Really badly handled by us, and a manager who couldn't organise a defence, and (as with plenty of others) didn't recognise that a young lad who had never played a senior game before coming here needed a rest. If Neil had been in place since the start of the season, Doyle's form wouldn't have tailed off the way it did.

The lad himself was asking for a rest around December and was refused one.
Was managed awfully after a great start.
He will end up being a good player and have a good career

I really think that he will go on to a great career at the top level. Attitude is as important as ability and he seems to have a great one, also had lots of great attributes at such a young age, hope he goes to the top

Can't head a ball.
Idle on the recovery like he cannot be assed to bother himself.

Thank fuck we're moving up a league.

Starting the season with a 17 year old centre-back with no senior games under his belt was madness in hindsight. As we saw later in the season a bit of experience and physical strength goes a long way in that position.

Taking everything into account he did pretty well for his first season IMO, had some shockers obviously but that's to be expected at his age. Not sure if he'll make it at Man City but can see him playing lower-PL level later in his career.
Controversial. I said as much and got quite a healthy amount of abuse before a ball was kicked.

Good lad and prospect. Got abused by LJ (not the only one).

Maybe we'll see him again one day?
