the chap keane and quinn used didnt take a penny out of the game you are right..he also only worked with irish or arsenal players...
..the lad pogba uses does though..and he isnt a registered agent..can pogba still pay him, he isnt an agent and your regulation is about agents payments?

BTW there are laws about what agents can be paid and really strict regualtions around who can be an agent...

Thats why lots of the biggest name players dont use agents...they use people who arent registered as agents so they dont have to comply with the existing regualtions..so they can pay them what they want..

The point is there are hundreds/thousands of players earning millions out of the game and for pretty much every one of them there's now some character attached to them who also wants millions too. We don't see them on the pitch but theyre taking a massive chunk out of the clubs. Something to reduce the size of that chunk would be welcome,. How it's best achieved is clearly open to debate.

and by making agents regulated and capping fees to agwents..you increase the amount going out of the game because they will just choose to not use a regalted agent..the lad jobachian isnt regulated by anyone...he has taken hundreds of millions out of the game and passed it to some of the dodigest humans on earth..worry about him..not the licensed agents and what they earn..

A regulator would fine a way of dealing with him and blocking him in the uk if necessary. The whole show has been toothless and that needs to change.

there is a regulator..they havent found a way to deal with him..because he isnt an agent..he does represent players and clubs though..and has been guilty of money laundering for oligarchs..
pogbas representative has been around for years...no regualtor found a way to deal with him..he isnt a licensed agent..

gareth bale's agent is licensed...the regualtor gave him a one year ban for a thing...made zero differnece...he just kept represnetating his clients by not being an agent..

The uk has found a way to kick Abramovich out of the sport it can do so with this fella. The regulator you speak of clearly isn't worthy of the name that's the point.

why would a representative of a player need to be in this country physcially? surely most of the overseas players have representatives based outsoide the UK?
rio ferdinands agent..zahavi...for example..isnt based in uk and never has been..
the first step is tio define what an internediary is..because they havent..any regulations are useless..

Steps need to be taken, evidently. Agents, intermediaries, leeches call them what you will, have, over the years massively inflated the cash that is haemorrhaging out of the game and into their pockets.

The best way would be for the EFL and the Premier league to sell the rights to games as a package, then the money spread in a much fairer way through all 92 positions in the pyramid, currently the gap between Premier League and Championship makes the risk worth the reward in the eyes on many owners, the same can be said about the League 1 to Championship. Issue is that football clubs will not accept this, they view everything in the short term, t needs some sort of regulator to force it, but again the clubs will not accept a regulator that they can not control.

right now the premier league do sell the rights to games as a package..and dsitribute the cash down the pyramid..
but you are right that the gao betwee prem and top flight is too big and it does create incenvtives to over spend

Parachute payments did their job but created a new problem. Best solution is the premier league TV deal has more of it paid to the EFL and that is given to clubs on an equal basis within their division. That way you reduce the difference in income between the championship and premier league......but premier League clubs will never go for it (independent regulator......).

If a club such as Fulham or Bournemouth are still due parachute payments when promoted they just don't receive them and what they would have received is shared evenly between the premier league clubs. So their generous redistribution to the EFL is significantly reduced.

Seems like one simple solution would be for that money to be spread between championship clubs instead.

It seems obvious that you would do that rather than send it back to the premier league but it wouldn't make a dent in closing the gap between the championship and the premier league when you cut it 24 ways. And remember it's only if a club in receipt of parachute payments gets promoted so far from certain for clubs to rely on.
