Kalvin Phillips signing for Manchester City

Drinkwater to Chelsea vibes. No doubting he's a good player but I don't think he's top quality City class. Time will tell.

Reminds me of when City signed Delph. Same age, same position, similar attributes.

He'll get a few games a season (not the important ones) and end up somewhere like Villa or Everton in three or four years IMO.

Never rated him as highly as some do. Is not city standard at all. Guess he ticks a box for an english player if they lose sterling and covers midfield with fernandinho gone.

Was class during the Euros. Shame about his injury.

Don't think he's good enough for City but really hope he proves me wrong.

Should be absolutely nowhere near an England team.
I’d be absolutely gutted if we got him in a straight exchange for Dan Neil.

Wouldn't expect to see him in the starting lineup for the big games, but gives them options and cover for Rodri which they don't really have.

Helps with the homegrown quota too.

For most clubs it would be madness to pay so much for a sub, but for them I suppose they can afford it.
