Living on £1 per day

I'm eating a salad now but I've grown in except for the tuna :D

Loads of salad leaves, spring onions, got a cucumber today, tomato, carrot and purple mangetout. Got loads of strawberries today and have some cream in the fridge. Jobs a good'n. Used a tin of tuna between yesterday and today and put a handful of walnuts and a few capers in it
Walnuts , capers and tuna.. no wonder you are skint

The reason I've chosen £1 is because I know I've got my allotment as back up and I've argued I could on foodbank threads and don't want to be a hypocrite. If I can't do it with my food growing knowledge I have already, chickens and a forest on my doorstep I'll openly say I was wrong, not that I think anyone should be put in that position.

I really wanted to challenge myself but if I win the Euro Millions tonight it might be short lived.

No mate it was McDonald's with the bairns . The bread and butter diet sounds appealing.
Fair enough. Hope you get what you want from it.

Not that I did that with mine or any I've been on, but it is meant to be a once in a lifetime sort of thing. Bit different to a standard holiday etc.
I do think it's a bit much though.
Doing 2 this year. Close mates or I probably wouldn't have.

Fwiw I met a bloke that was homeless for a while and reckoned he ate well by raiding Supermarket skips for out of date food. You'd have to be pretty skint to do that like. I know of people who got free meals from various charities.
I was opening a shop in Boston and everyday a group of several blokes would gather outside Greggs waiting for it to close.....once the last member of staff was out of sight theyd be all over the bins.....Tbf they always seemed to get plenty

Other than my 2 sausage rolls I bought today I bought a pint of milk for 34p and a bag of pasta for 32p. After 2 days I'm 35p in the black whoopee .

Got 6 cauliflowers from the allotment today. Made cauliflower rice with 2 and froze 3 as florets. Kept one in the fridge.
Roast it in nice big slices . Lots of peeper over it and a drizzle of oil Don't know last time I boiled a cauli
