Living on £1 per day

Pasta, lentils, bread, rice, tinned tomatoes and potatoes. You could live on those for a week or so. I’m assuming you’ll have stuff in to season the stuff with?

Get yersen down the local asian grocer . Big bag of moong dhal, onions , tomatoes , curry powder , chapati flour , basmati rice , salt , veg oil . Add some yoghurt and the odd egg and you've got complete protein and carbo . The lack of vitamins would eventually prove problematic but if you can get some cabbage should help . Even better if you have a blender and can get some cheap fruit and make a lassi with the yoghurt
If you've got bits of meat or fish in the freezer to eek it out you'll do it easy for a fortnight
Tbh I've got loads of dried stuff like beans, lentils, maize meal, gram flour etc. I've got an allotment as well so in a better position than most. The hard bit will be things like meat, fruit, butter, cheese etc.

I won't really count the first week having stuff in the fridge, but should be interesting after that.

Sorted then 🤷‍♂️

Potatoes are cheap.
Pasta
Soup. They don't those boxes of veg in Aldi of veg that are about to turn. You could pulverise one of those and have that for a week.

What are you planning on foraging? Nettles could go in the soup. Not the right time for blackberries or wild garlic. Dandelions? I think they are better in the spring.

Can probably skip the cheese . A £3 chicken can do 4 days probably . Roast chicken first day , chicken curry second , chicken fried rice day 3 , turn carcass into stock and make a soup or sauce for a pasta day 4 , could even add the stock to a Dahl and make gram flour chapaties to have with it . One does me and our lass 3 days like that ( she would live on chicken if you let her )
