Which would be all very well if there weren’t a sizeable number of people who are determined to defend the honour of these celebrity itks if someone says they think they’re either stretching the truth or flat out making it up. It works both ways.
The normal everyday fan doesn't spend his days obsessing over an internet chat forum and taking it seriously.
There were 50,000 of us at Wembley and, over the entire weekend, I didn't hear one mention of chat boards or what's posted. There's a few hundred actual posters, maximum, and most right minded people look at what's said and take it all with a hefty pinch of salt.
When it gets to the point where you believe a few people, posting gossip on here, influence the thoughts of thousands of decent normal supporters you should really think about taking a break and giving your head a good shake.

I’d be happy to see that sort of thing gone tbf. Rounds of dissection of celebrity itks every few days are pretty boring and do little for this place. But there is another side to it, where itks with patchy success records post vague extrapolated updates and they and others sneer from other boards at this place. Nobody comes out of it particularly well.

Yep. There’s not one of them who gets everything right. The ones who post vague updates and like the attention do my head in a bit but I can just ignore that. They should really be willing to have a thick skin to a bit of pisstaking since they court the limelight more than a little, but equally other posters should know when to stop before getting out of hand too.
Agreed. One of the best things about this place is the piss taking.
