Geo - are you in the North east?
I ask, as I never put my sweetcorn in the ground until June.
Dartmoor mate. Got them up to about 12" now in plugs, hardened off and goes in the bed about now, and first cobs picked on my birthday as a treat (21st Sept).
June is generally about right to plant out ( No chance of frost) but climate a bit gentler here.

Soaking peas before planting is a must. You'll see them produce small tails, thats the time to plant. I always preferred sowing indoors in guttering when I had an allotment.
About to put a dozen in water now - I guess they can just go altogether in a glass?

Which way to plant the tail? Up or down? (sprout or root?)

they can all go into water together when sowing you just put them in the ground, doesnt matter how so long as theyre in the ground

Installed @Nookie Bear greenhouse in the last couple of days. Got to pick the plants up from her mothers greenhouse tomorrow.

Looking good mate. Amazing how much you can do in an 8x6 greenhouse buddy. That's what Ive got, and we eat very well out of it late summer through and beyond Xmas. Get all your summer bedding seeds through for next year too.👍👍👍

Whoa there, that’s a 10x6. Know what you mean though. Looking forward to getting a decent crop of chillies so I can add them to my pickling list.

I swear there's another thread running for people growing veg in the gardens, but this one hasn't been touched since 11th April, and its the only one I can find.

So, 2 months on, zero peas have grown. I'm sure people gave me advice on the other thread about soaking them in water until they sprout - they've just started as of today, so I'm going to plant them up tonight - probably in pots though until they are a big bigger. Unless anyone says otherwise?

Anyway:
Tomato plants went in about 3 weeks ago, but they're covered in black spots. Can anyone suggest something I can do about it before I lose the lot? I'm assuming a fungicidal spray? I did want to be as organic as possible, but at this rate I'll have no plants at all, which is much worse.

Get your peas straight in the ground and put your stakes in now for them
To climb up.

I’m growing some tomatoes again this year. Sowed the seeds end of April and they doesn’t seem to have grown as fast this year compared to last year🍅

Sounds like Tomato Blight.

YOU'RE FUCKED MATE.

Not sure this time, I know that usually travels up the plant in the autumn though. This looks more like fungus spots - doesn't blight affect the stems too? I'm not seeing that.
Could be wrong though.

Not sure looking at that mate. Your Basil looks poorly too. Maybe just too much water. Ground looks very wet.
No sign of insect larvae under the leaves?
