Probably go up tbh. I know there are some who morally wouldn't want to go but most would likely continue to support as they always have, even if they don't agree with the owners human rights record etc. Then those who did stop going would be replaced quite quickly by those who don't really care about the moral argument and want to see winning football and potential trophies. I wouldn't say our fan base is the same as the mags, I'd certainly hope to see a lot fewer Saudi headdresses, fewer Saudi flags in twitter handles etc, but I'd be surprised if our fan base has a vastly higher % of those morally inclined to walk away

No they weren't, who told you that? Legionaries were generally citizens and even auxiliaries were free - Rome wouldn't arm slaves (e.g. Spartacus and all that).

As for slavery, that was in existence before Great Britain was formed. Although, to be fair, there were white slaves in Scottish mines in the same period they were campaigning to abolish black slavery.
