I would rather languish in League One for the rest of my days than break bread with fuckers like that.

I renewed my season card and added 3 more for the bairns before I knew what division we would be playing in next season.

If the Saudis or someone of their ilk (what they represent) bought our club tomorrow I’d cancel my DD.

The weekend just gone shows you everything supporting Sunderland is about. The history, those that have gone before us and sense of community.

We might have been shite all of my time (apart from a few brief spells) but I’d rather languish supporting a 3rd tier team then sell away everything this club means for a few blood stained pieces of silverware.

Well said, feel exactly the same way.

Sod that, Premier League Champs and got to a semi final of the Champions League? Aye, gimme a slice of that action over bliddy beating Wycome to get to the Second division any day.

Those goals against Wycombe at Wembley meant just as much as they would against any side in the world… the passion, relief and emotion from everyone around me stood behind that goal when Stewart tucked away the 2nd is something I’ll never forget, and consider myself fortunate to be there to witness with my kids.

Couldn’t bear the thought of languishing in that tinpot league another secon.

An interesting thought , would our gates go up or down with a Saudi take over . I think many would sling season tickets causing an initial drop but might be replaced by out of town glory fans when back in the prem , especially with marquee signings

I don't care what any of them say, they know deep down that all of their future success is tarnished in the eyes of everyone outside their club.

Still, what more could they do?*

*(Chant for them to get out of their club, send a protest group to the PL to stop the takeover, not wear arab robes, not welcome them like the second coming, NOT send a protest group to the PL specifically asking for the bid to be accepted...)

Probably go up tbh. I know there are some who morally wouldn't want to go but most would likely continue to support as they always have, even if they don't agree with the owners human rights record etc. Then those who did stop going would be replaced quite quickly by those who don't really care about the moral argument and want to see winning football and potential trophies. I wouldn't say our fan base is the same as the mags, I'd certainly hope to see a lot fewer Saudi headdresses, fewer Saudi flags in twitter handles etc, but I'd be surprised if our fan base has a vastly higher % of those morally inclined to walk away

I'm just glad it's not us we can hold our heads up high
