A few people I know reckon they're now millionaires from that well known crypto site. Strange like as they're all still working in unglamorous jobs, live in the same places and drive the same cars......its almost like they're talking absolute bollocks.

I for one won't be buying shares, I'm happy with my brick with my name on ha.

I reckon this fan share crypto stuff may have been purposefully leaked to see how fans react to it before they decide whether to bake it into the shareholder agreement

It's not allowed under EFL rules. Clubs can only sell to regulated supporters' trusts. The only other way would be to revert to being a plc and shares being marketable. It's also worth pointing out that they won't be acquiring shares in Sunderland (which is 100% owned by Mercator), but in Mercator itself.

The richest bloke in the world uses crypto, how could you not be a serious group?
Inter Milan have there own coin I’m sure now.
The richest man in the world has the platform and sycophantic audience to be able to increase and decrease the value of certain coins by putting out a tweet, no wonder he uses it.

Assume it would be something like this, which Inter and a few others use:

Imagine it's basically a way to take advantage of fans loyalty/money, but don't see why it needs to be meltdown central. Nobody is forcing people to spend their cash on that stuff.

It's more because it's clearly a cynical money grab akin to these global superclubs which have 'customers' these days rather than actual lifeblood fans. If it was about genuine fan involvement they would offer traditional purchase methods.

I wouldn’t mind one of them tbf

Exactly what people were told when questions were raised about SD and methven. Fuck off.

This process will be rinse and repeat. New investors / owners come in and are elevated to God like status by some before a single thing is achieved. Criticism is shouted down and journalists told they’re mags and hacks for asking the questions. It’s unhealthy, as a fanbase we need to stop that. Because inevitably, after elevated to such a pedestal, it then appears toxic when people turn after it’s unveiled they’re not the white knights initially portrayed as.

Healthy criticism without abuse the way forward. Owners and investors are only ever temporary custodians

So it's snake oil salesmen out, snake oil salesmen in?

Worried if it's anything crypto. At the moment it's just attached to everything in an attempt to build unjustified hype and bleed money from the gullible

an absolute scam to suck money out of supporters under the pretence they have a minuscule bit of power and an ultimately worthless collection of limited pieces. Utter shite, i don’t support Sunderland to make money.
