As Coeus has said, I think a decade of poor club management and semi-truths given to supporters imbeds skepticism and even negativity. Whilst posters like Wheatsheaf, Madbob, and others are well intentioned, their source (and Roker Report and ALSs) has his own motives. I think sometimes it’s a case of shooting the messenger. Though the teasing tone of some of the ITKs doesn’t particularly help at times.

I think its a bit more than that tbf. The whispers about something happening must have been stronger in recent weeks. The info from Methven looks to have been true for once so that ultimately ended up being positive. The people who know exactly who and for how much will mainly be limited to those who are directly involved, though. This is why it's been so precarious to be an internet ITK in the Madrox years. They are not good faith actors, they talk a lot and they've got form for overstating a situation (on numerous occasions). Hearing that something is happening and posting that in good faith has led to having the rug pulled out more often than not.

Having any extremely wealthy party on board comes with moral and ethical dilemmas. Billionaire types are rarely squeaky clean and if they’re involved in the trade and distribution of natural resources they’re even more likely to be problematic.

There are scales though and the Mags will basically be doing what the Tories did to Starmer RE rule breaking. They’ll create false equivalences and try and cry hypocrisy. They can’t help but be interested as much as they like to say they don’t care about Sunderland

I paid it no attention to begin with as I thought it was the usual baseless guff that gets posted by people looking for attention (no offence OP, you did state no source and only speculation, but usually these are fake ITK threads)

Anyway this thread seems not to be going away and 127 pages tells me that maybe there’s something in this after all.

Can anyone do me a solid and give me a short version of the story to date?

Who is rumoured to be buying, and are they just buying the chuckle brothers out, or is it the whole club?

It is often addressed in the Shareholders Agreements how such circumstances will be addressed along with deadlock arrangements when Shareholders can’t agree.

I doubt that KLD has that control……

I believe it’s down to the share agreement in place. I’m not 100% on the exact reasoning, but I was just told KLD has to agree too

Nowt wrong with being sceptical and cynical but some are outright doom mongers.we do have happy clapping loons at the other end of the scale mind
