Wouldn't argue against any of that if it's true, but it's Nixon and he is a shitehawk with secondhand information usually. Feel sorry for Willis and Xhemajli as injury has blighted any chance they had and Willis will perhaps retire.
Wish all 4 the best of luck, as they have all turned up for Sunderland at one time or another and never shirked.

Willis has started his coaching badges I think which I took as a sign he was probably going to retire from playing.

McGeady has been a great servant but probably time to move on, Burge will get a league one club no bother.

I'm most disappointed about Xhemajli, looked a good player in the few glimpses we got and is still young.

Presume this means Gooch and Wright are staying, but it's nixon so I'm looking for somewhere to park this truck full of salt.

Willis was one of our highest earners. McGeady was one of the few bright sparks throughout League One but time to move on.
