I watched Unchareterd the other night. 8.5/10

Really enjoyed it. Adventure film involving lost treasure, based on the Playstation game
Watched it at the weekend - thought it was shit - 3/10.
Mark Wahlberg was hopelessly miscast, it needed a more grizzled out-of-shape older guy.
It basically ripped off National Treasure but wasn't half as good.

Bloody hell, this thread is hard to find.
You'd think "film" or "movie" would bring it up, but nope.
Anyway.

Finally re-watched Trainspotting 2 tonight. Had planned to watch it soon after seeing at the cinema, and cannot believe that was 2017 !!
Its really really good. Still get a lump in my throat watching some of the references to the past in it. Brilliant stuff.
Best thing to do is post a word in the thread that will only bring up one hit but you'll definitely remember and simply search for that in future.

Haven't seen it yet but you gave a 3 and the above post gave a 8.5 :). That is exactly why I take no notice of anyone's opinions on films or tv shows:)

Haha, you have a point, Wonder how many see someones review and decide whether watch something or not :)
After I see summit on here, I look at IMDB review meself and try not to watch the trailer in case of spoilers. I watch this thread as it's given me plenty of suggestions to watch summit.

My watchlist on IMDB is over 1,000 now FFS as it's built up over the years! 🤣 It's got a canny few that I've probably seen still in it and over 100 unreleased but it's probably still near a 1,000 so can anyone beat this? 🤪

My current watchlist is about 900 - neilnoir’s Watchlist
Incredibly, since I made a concerted effort to watch more films instead of tv, I've actually watched about 900 in the last 3 years:
2019 - 212
2020 - 271
2021 - 358
2022 - 75
Some of those are re-watches (about 25%) so I reckon I've watched about 700 new movies in that time.

I watched it, concept was good, they didn't go indepth on Magellan and lapu-lapu, and I knew straight away they weren't landing in southern Mindanao, the topography wasn't even similar, but I did enjoy it, I gave it a 5/10.

Has anyone seen both the new Dr Strange and the Michelle Yeah film Everything Everywhere All At Once? Who do you think does the Multiverse idea better?

Also, anyone seen the new Nic Cage thing? Loved, hated, meh?

Dr Strange was pretty crap I thought, I mean it would probably be good in isolation or good for a marvel nerd but I though it was the same as all the others. They are also milking it with this multiverse nonsense as its created endless amounts of the same films, just different heros. Seen it all before

As The Gods Will (2014) - a cross between Battle Royale and Squid Games with the addition of the typical Takashi Miike weirdness. Won’t be for everyone but I enjoyed it.

Enjoyed the games a lot more than the film.

I watched the Nicolas Cage film. It was actually surprisingly good. I would really recommend it.

By far the best film I've seen him in for about 20 years. Very funny at times and some excellent nods to previous films of his.

Blow - depp and cruz

hadnt seen it in donkeys.

actually very average, skipping around over the place but okay to pass some time. depp Didn’t do it for in their role either like.

6/10

Also watched The Northman yesterday, wouldn't go as high as 8 but definitely a 7. Some of the scenes were very good and it felt like watching someone play Skyrim at times. The druggy/witch type scenes were shit though.
