Try it and get back to me.They had to wait 2 years for trial, so what!
It doesn't matter. It did and left them sweating for that period of time.Do we know why it took so long?
Were they?Perhaps they were all denying it.
Were they?Perhaps they were delaying the process.
About what?Perhaps the Police were incompetent again.
None of us do. We only know the write-up and have to go on that.Obviously we don’t know, or at least I don’t.
None seemed to be for violence and the violence dished out didn't seem to merit anything other than affray and public order which isn't a nothing but it doesn't necessarily have to offer prison after all of that.I have seen elsewhere, again not sure if true, that one had +30 previous convictions but, as none were GBH, managed to avoid jail.
It's far from a ticking off.Overall I see this as sending a message. The message is that 4 people attacking someone, regardless of whatever none violent provocation took place, will simply result in a ‘ticking off’.
No more insight than you have.Perhaps you have more insight into the case than I do. If so fair enough.
And that's your opinion and you're welcome to it, as I am.On what I have read, in my opinion, they should all be in jail.
It all depends on what is being predicted.I believe that the best predictor of the future is the past.
They may do it again and they will pay the penalty for it, most likely. They will do it again and, in all probability, be given yet another chance simply because they were shitting themselves waiting for trial or because they achieved the incredible task of holding down a job.
They were given a chance to avoid jail but they were not free from punishment.
