After about half hour, a bloke and his son came over to me and my 9 year daughter and was apologising for the noise and ruining our lunch to which I said don’t be silly.
Anyway, we started having conversation and I said I support Sunderland and we had a bit of friendly banter and a laugh and a few of the young lads came over and joined in before they left.
The few fans I spoke to genuinely want is back in the premier league. We wished each other well before they left.

Seriously of course this is the case with all fans, of all clubs. Most are decent folk who like a craic, and a bit of piss-taking. Sadly your experience doesn't make news. Actions of a waste of skin like this knacker does.

Growing up as a kid - I’m old now man - hated Newcastle with a passion, and Boro (far less so). As if I’d have got the bus to anywhere near Newcastle! Why the fuck would I go to that city, that ground, on their match day!?

The act itself is disgusting but the mental state to even make the effort to travel to our ground? Mind boggling.

We are an average 3rd division side, the worst in our entire history, they’ve become the richest club on the globe in the history of the game……. And STILL they’re thinking about us all the time? Bonkers that like 😂

It's one kernt who has achieved what he wanted (being noticed) Am sure he will get what he's due, though I kind of feel sorry for his family who will have to bear what's coming too.

To be honest, I don't think much about the mackems these days. Still got good mates who are red and white and still have the usual good natured craic, despite the difference in league placings.
