C.C:: Sussex v Durham (Hove)

I'd have Jones in ahead of Borthwick.
Just seen his wicket. Absolutely awful, just chips it to cover.
Not really, he got a 100 on a flat flat pitch against the worst side in the country who had 2 of their bowlers injured during the game

well done to him but the others didbt get to bat against that
What has Borthwick done this season? Or last season, or the season before? Living off former glories

The only positive I can take from that session is that I'll be probably be saving a hell of a lot of money in September by not bothering to attend the three East Midlands away fixtures.:(

79-6 at Lunch against the whipping boys of the league, who have a bowling attack that wouldn’t get in most Second XI sides, after winning the toss and deciding to bat.

F*cking abysmal.

I’ve got to laugh, I had a bit of bad news last week and this past week has been dreadful quite frankly, so to save me from doing something really stupid, I’ll just keep laughing.

I genuinely believed we could challenge for the title coming into the season, but after taking only 2 wickets in an entire day against Leicestershire and now losing 6 inside a session against these mugs - we’ll be lucky to scrape a top half finish.

Oh and on top of that, I bet we don’t even get Ben Stokes for a single game.
I would have dropped Petersen or Borthwick, they're f***ing shite.

Have yourself a few minutes to think about that, the kid (Petersen) has had five innings, he’d only been in the country 16 hours before his first, batted better in the second and yes, he has struggled since - but it really is far too early to be wetting the bed about a bloke who played a massive part in a series win against India just a few months ago.

It was a cracking signing on paper, he has to improve, but to call him ‘f*cking shite’ is a massive overreaction.

Your first paragraph sums it up. Take care

Few ridiculous scorecards around the country it’s worth noting

Take care mate sorry to hear that. Good to see you posting on match thread. You know Durham better than anyone.

Thank you, but I don’t marra, I just shout the loudest ;)

Trevaskis 50* from 63 balls with 7 fours. Went to it with two boundaries from vile long hops from Crane.

154-7.

Not sure if Marty has been mentioned, lad on comms says he hopes he’s ‘on the mend’. Any idea what’s happened?

All the best Marty if you’re browsing the thread. We miss you.

Get in Trev

It’s interesting to see Haines bowling that early considering he’s on England’s radar, it all helps like your cause
50 up for Trev! Looks slightly easier against Haines and Clark than Pattinson last week but good to see.

I know some didn’t approve that was great bowling by Pattinson

Test match bowling, shame he retired

No surprise to see him rested for their game this week that’s a luxury for them
