Bring out the BBQ

First time doing anything interesting on the bbq for a while, finally got round to trying belly pork burnt ends. 3 hours in and they look amazing, another hour until they’re ready. Made the most ridiculously cheesy Mac and cheese to go with it, planned to put it in the bbq but it won’t bloody fit so will have to do it in the oven.

Great day for a barbecue today, smoked beef short ribs…tremendous.

Lazy in the winter to not clean mine. Took the cover off on Friday. More green fur than the sesame street dressing room. 4 hours of cleaning later.
Love how quick gas bbqs are especially when cooking for the kids

Should have turned it on with the lid closed for fifteen minutes. Then give it a scrub.

Never thought about that. Going to have to take my gas bottle back as i think the dial on it is broken. Had about 6 bbqs last year and 1 at the weekend. Its only the calor patio one andnits still showing as full. It moves when you shake the bottle.

The last bottle I bought lasted ages. Probably five years or so. I wouldn’t worry about the dial, you can gauge how much gas is left by tilting it onto one edge, then giving it as gentle shake. You will know when it’s empty

I always scrub ours clean while its still warm with a metal brush and just plain water in a spray bottle comes up as new. It had to go it the dishwasher yesterday though as iwas a bit mouldy from not being used for a few months
