Elden Ring

Can you do that quest before you've killed Margit? Looks like the thing you need to get for Roderika is in the castle? Forgive me if that's a silly question
Excellent point, I’d forgotten I’d followed one of those get OP early videos.

You can get her early if you take the shortcut around Stormveil Castle.

I'd actually found that shortcut by accident because I was looking for things to do to avoid fighting Margit again.

I'll try to work out how to get that quest finished, as I thought only part of the castle was open via this route

That should get you to the first Liurnia of the Lakes checkpoint (Lake facing cliffs site of grace)

If you’ve gone through all Roderika’s dialogue at the shack she *should* be standing next to the fire next time you visit the Roundtable hold.
Edit: I deleted a build that didn’t work so had a low level character to test this with. Basically take the shortcut until you reach the Lake Facing Cliffs site of grace, rest at it, then Roderika will be warming herself at Roundtable Hold fire. Talk to her, talk to blacksmith etc until their dialogue is exhausted and she’ll become a spirit tuner sitting across from him.

Finally go to the shack she was before and in her place is a golden seed.
Edit 2: You have to refresh Roundtable Hold (leave and go back again) before she moves next to the blacksmith

Would anyone recommend this to someone who likes games but doesn't like hard games? I've never played a souls game, I tried bloddborne but fuck that. I'm guessing not? I just haven't go the time ir patience to be dying and trying to beat the same enemy over and over

That’s a no then! You’ll spend most of your time doing just that

You sound like me. I tried it and gave up. Shame, as I love this type of game, just not when it's a From Software game

Just beat it tonight, going for the platinum now. Absolutely love it but I’ll have to wait for the any upcoming DLC before it knocks Bloodborne off the top spot.

Also got invaded by a bloke called ‘Rannis lovely toes’ as well.

He invaded me too, he’s just called Rannis now

I would definitely recommend elden ring. I think the skill cap and gear is unique in this day of gaming. While elden ring has a big skill cap it's no where near Ds series on first walk throughs. I am glad there's no level change to give me the option.

I've never played a soulsborne game before and I'm totally hooked now. I'd never even really played many RPGs before.

What has really helped me though is that my mate is big into the soulsborne and called over a few times to give me some tips and pointers in the right direction.

Without that I wouldve sacked it off ages ago. How they expect you to "just know" all this stuff is a little ridiculous.

There is a fair amount of playing over the same fight until you get it but unlike the other games (apparently) you re spawn more or less beside the boss again so dont have to fight through large swathes of enemies just to get your ass handed to you again.

Fire giant is an absolute tw@t I think I may have to cheese him to move the game forward.

I'm bored with it now mind. Veteran player of these games and it's just getting a bit old and tired.

This rune mining trick works a treat. You have to do a few things first in order to get to the location but once you’re there it’s a good way to level up quick. You don’t have to run to where he does either you can’t just go to the edge right beside the site of grace.

If you take out the bird and the frog type Blerks it’s 34k every go.
Also, Type in SEEKERS in the group password for multiplayers and you get a buff for runes every other minute due to the amount of people using it 👍
