He came on and bowled a short spell in the 2nd innings and then went back to the pavilion. So I suppose Woody is the best one to know if he can get through a test match.

Times reckon Lees will open the batting with Crawley. Leach will play as pitch is not as grassy as earlier thought. Woakes and Overton opening the bowling with Wood first change and Stokes good for 10ish overs an innings.

For the record, the West Indies attack for the first test is quite probably the best attack in the world

The bowling attack isn’t good enough for me. Woakes is fine on an English pitch. Overseas, he’s not good enough. Overton, we shall see. I’m confident Leach will get wickets if the pitch and conditions are right. The rest…
