Fact is both clubs have been hampered by their fair share of dishonourable non ambitious owners and another plain fact is every one on here would have snapped the hand of the investment NUFC are getting, the only factor is the background to who actually owns NUFC....... and yes KSA background is at the very best suspect and has been barbaric. Can you compare this with KSA? I doubt it as its a different type of regime in place although in the past no less brutal, but if lets say in 30 years time when I am long gone the Saudi Vision 2030 proved to be the start of an evolvement in the improvement then of its image then it should be applauded. problem is we live in the now and not the future....so nobody actually knows.

What I will say is I have only missed 18 home games at NUFC since 1970 and seen my fair share of Westwoods or in your case Cowies (Newcastle fans are better than Sunderland's is what he said - I bet that made him popular) and yet 52 years on I am still waiting for proper silverware........

RTG is possibly the best online fanzine because it allows forums like this, just a pity you cant weedle out the none sensible comments, I am too old to be bothered to argue.

I’d expect nothing else, what is it with skunks, Liverpool, Celtic and rangers fans having to wear something football related to show off where they’re from?

Also, hopefully you’d be refused entry just for being pedantic and wanting to cause a scene.

No where near to the same extent, go to the local shops on a Thursday night in -5 degrees and you’ll have a 55 year old with a massive gut, a skunks badge on one arm and the blue brown ale logo tattooed on the other in his top from the keegan years

When Sunderland was doing well in the premier Hartlepool was full of Sunderland shirts on people's backs.
I also saw stacks in Sunderland at the time.
Did you not see any of that?
 
Let’s not forget George Ormond, the nufc youth coach who abused boys for decades. But the thing is, the Ormonds and Johnsons of this world pass through clubs even though they cause significant damage.

Ownership is a different league.

We are rightly horrified about the Russians bombing civilians in the Ukraine, while the Saudis have been getting away with doing it to children in Yemen for years.

For your grandsons sake, do you think it’s wise to slag off the supporters of the team he’s playing for. I think it’s a poor look for the kid trying to make a name for himself while his grandparent is mocking the fans and club while saying I’ll see you at the match.

Also if you’re going to wear a Newcastle hat at one of his games. You’re putting yourself at risk of bother. Would you want your grandson to get negative attention?
