When the Ashes test was played at the Riverside Botham was explaining to Warne about the rivalry between Sunderland and Newcastle. When he mentioned the colours and nicknames, Warne responded by saying he was a Sunderland fan as he couldn't stand magpies. Magpies is also the nickname of Collingwood FC in the AFL. He supports their rivals iirc.
