Mags takeover being questioned by lady ( Rachael) on Sky as to wether it’s in best interest of game in long run -comparisons with Abramovich takeover of Chelski
I can answer that for her. No it is not in the best interests of the game. Nor was the City sale or Abramovich at Chelsea.
Plenty of other stuff not in the best interests of the game, too much money at the top level for example. Sadly nothing will happen to change that.

Will you be in the Bell tonight?

Might have a dodge, you'll be the one capering around in a Mag top, poking fun at all the lads in the bar as you make fun of them for supporting a shite football team, aye?
I had a few in there after work on Friday. Likely around the time you posted that message. I didn't engage in any of the behaviour you mentioned though. Just stood at the bar and swigged my beer. But of course I did also have a side order of gravy.

Afterwards I walked briskly along Sea Road with tea towel on head and shouted at all the shops. When I got home sent a tweet to Steve Wraith and asked him if we could do a podcast about it.

;)

I disagree.
He's obviously no Guardiola or a Klopp but he is a decent enough manager.
Not sure the fans of nearly every single club he's managed would agree with you. Nor the West Brom ones as he hurtles them away from the play offs. A footballing dinosaur who "doesn't do tactics" and perennially feels sorry for himself whilst blaming everyone else for his ineptitude. The fact he keeps getting employment is crazy.

An awful awful manager.

He's an ok Champ/lower PL manager at most.

He's an absolute bellend though and nothing is his fault

I'll admit he's basically gone downhill over his time at Newcastle but he was a decent manager for us up until this season. Nothing special but decent enough with what he had.
The thing is when you're hated by a group then your tenure is that much harder and your resolve becomes a standoff.
That's how I saw Bruce's last half a season.

In most other clubs he's been decent enough amid the obvious real blips like most managers go through if you actually look at them all.

The difference is in whether you're accepted into a role or up against massive rejection.

He's gone because he basically went downhill and his position became untenable with the takeover and the hatred of him by a section of fans.
I get it all and that's football....but... as I say....I still think he's been a decent enough manager in his time.

The PL wants the mag money which is probably the dirtiest of them all so much that they’ll desperately need them to stay up. Unlike the rest of humanity money is now their god and holds precedence over any decency. The PL has no moral compass and certain fans haven’t either

They pay for my season ticket ( win win -I bet the skunks would stay up !) happy if they did not (3,of us did same )
Second season in a row
Thanks

I wish I had but then technically i'd be checking their results hoping they'd won which would be out of character for me....

How much are you betting on them so that it’s paying for your season ticket?
