He reminds me of Moyes . . . Defeatist attitude.

I agree that honesty is needed at times. But I’m sorry, if your manager keeps saying the squad is tired, not fit blah blah then it gives you an excuse and it’s hardly inspiring is it.
True, but if he did that then everyone would be saying he either can't see what we can all see or he is just a yes man for the regime? Either way he's on a hiding to nothing, I'd rather he was open and honest, which is exactly what we have been asking from the club.

He certainly didn't look exactly what we need tonight or Saturday. Exactly what we need is someone to have a team that was top 2 just over a month ago as serious play-off challengers
He's took over a team in a rut, I dint think you can blame him for not having us in the top 2, he needs time

definitely different from Moyes. he's been honest in his assessment rather than just plain negative from the off. it's how he goes about trying to fix it is the important thing.

i mentioned on the match thread, it's like watching a pre-season team not a team that's had 2 thirds of a season to work together. we were better when we made changes in the second half but still way off where we should/need to be.

This, he's absolutely spot on and not a yes man, exactly what we need.
He is a yes man.

We will see. There’s red flags there already. Seems extremely dour and uninspiring and the players clearly haven’t taken to him. Im
Not surprised given the football he’s asked them to play.

Came in moaning about the squad all being at different levels of fitness, excuses at the ready.

No huge lift, no massive boost. Depressing.

We must be the only team in the country who never gets a mew manager bounce.
Moyes ain't a quick fix manager, he builds things over time and says it how it is to give him the best chance of doing so. Alex Neil is probably similar, he's never had a short term appointment in his life. If we back him and give him more control he will get us promoted next season.

I'm looking forward to seeing the team play as requested by him. You can see in his interview they are still playing the LJ way AND doing it badly. It must be one thing on the training ground and something else in an actual competitive match. that's what he is seeing.

The "new manager bounce" thing is a myth.

Well he's right about the squad fitness. I'm not sure we'd have had a new manager bounce with any manager
He’s had 2 proper games in charge

Aye time to judge ffs the internet and modern day fans, most would probably dump a lass if they didn’t put out on the first date 😳🙄
I'd write a lovely song for them and be conkers deep on the 1st date

BUMP . . . BOUNCE . . . BUMP . . .

What a disgrace I am.

I whole heartedly apologise . . . Maybe after all the failures I was just absolutely expecting another one . . .

Thank you Alex Neil for making me eat MASSIVE humble pie. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.⚽
