And Alex Neil has about the charisma of a King Edward.

It really is astonishing that these are the two options we have having sacked a manager nearly a fortnight ago now for apparently ‘cumulative’ reasons. Is this it? Is this the extent of our fact finding and process? Two out of work ex second division managers?
If only someone like Arsene Wenger wasn’t so dull and had a bit more charisma he could’ve actually been successful in management!

This charisma bollox folk keep talking about, it’s totally irrelevant.

Not sure just had the nod saying starts tomorrow though from someone at the club 👍🏻 Pleased its him and not McCann
Definitely better than McCann and arguably an upgrade on LJ but by christ the club have completely fucked it that its hard to get even a modicum of excitement from me about it.

I cannot believe how they've handled this at all

All the North End fans seem to be raving about him on Twitter. In fact Hamilton, Norwich and Preston fans all seen to hold him in really high regard. Still youve seen him a few times so would know better.
Yeah the PNE fans seem to be relatively complimentary of him considering he was sacked and first to point out the difficult conditions he was managing under. Probably a bit much to say he was successful there but certainly didnt fail either. But aye a random sunderland fan who's seem them a few time probably knows better.

sacked from Preston after 4 seasons with them 16th in the league, yeah great appointment
Took Norwich to the Prem before hand - equals Keane's achievements.

You're also ignoring his previous 3 years there where he had them on the cusp of the playoffs with a non-existent budget and his best players constantly sold. If he can get us to the cusp of the championship playoffs in a few seasons, he's done very well.

End of the day, and championship manager in league one is a fairly good appointment - we're not exactly in a position to attract the best and brightest, are we?

I dunno, what they seem to say is he was a decent bloke, didn't really have a plan B and might have been able to better if he'd been backed or xyz had happened.
We've had plenty of those, losers in other words.

Genuinely thought you’d written “reincarnation”.:lol:
That'd be nee problem fer Keane, Gadzooks, la.

Mind, if it's true that Neil has signed a 3 month contract, he must be desperate, either for the job, the money, or just plain desperate. He's on a hiding to nothing isn't he? What on earth can they expect of him? Unless miracles really are a data prerequisite?
