The
I can't believe people are genuinely saying things like 'if Keane asked for that' haway man.
truth will be somewhere in the middle.

You can bet your ass he wasn’t treating us as a charity case

keane knows these clowns id imagine..as he knows dave jones from sky..surely he asked him first? and got enough of a response to still be interested in the job?
He may well have done. They also have a history of moving goalposts or suggesting something will happen and then when scrutinised, it quickly falls apart.

Bit like the used car would which they were selling as one careful owner.

Pure speculation but Keane was probably stitched up in a sky contract and wanted us to pay him out of it.

Sky would be stupid not to have that clause in an ‘active managers’ contract.

Which may be where that ridiculous number is coming from.

If it is true that Sunderland were not prepared to pay 50k a week to Roy Keane then that is an absolute embarrassment. Fans have every right to feel totally let down. Lions led by donkeys
An embarrassment for Keane aye. Imagine asking a League 1 club for 50k a week man 🤣

You said "Did they say what time it was done ?, did they say 6.40pm tonight by any chance.????"
Not sure why you mentioned 6:40pm?
Well if you had received a PM you would have understood.
The only good thing out of this shambles is Cliffy Byrne is coming back

If its true he wanted 50k (2.6m a year) then I'm glad it's off.

Not that i think it's true. I think it will have been somewhere between 800k to 1m a year, which is still huge for a league 1 club and there is absolutely nothing to justify it in his case.

Hed have but 5k on the gate like

But ultimately you don’t get people like him without paying the money.

I refuse to believe anything some conspiratorial nutcase says, unless it is in accord with my opinion then I will be by their side and agree with everything they say 😂

If it comes off Neil will likely be a good appointment and if he'd been appointed quickly before Doncaster I'm sure many would've been happy (or at least not as pissed off as they are now). As it is the club have shot themselves in the foot in terms of dithering over getting someone in, KLD liking that instagram post, Speakman's 'keep calm' interview, and chucking away what should've been 6 points to keep us in the chase for automatic promotion. Whoever comes in is already facing an uphill struggle both on and off the pitch and will need to turn things around quickly.
Agree with all this.
