Not Roy Keane

For me it's the former. I didn't even vote for Keane in the 'Vote for Manager' thread. I'd have loved him to come back, but the club have totally fucked themselves.

I've never known a club crumble as much in the space of 11 days. Speakman either needs to be sacked, or resign.

KLD needs to buyout the chancers, and surround himself with experienced football people, or the entire club needs selling to someone with ambition.
We were all told he’d done that. Where are they? Why haven’t they stepped in. Can’t be up to much if they’re standing by and allowing this to happen to their boy. The whole thing f**king stinks.

10 days in for an unemployed manager to tell us no?

Why do I get the feeling Speakman is untouchable as well. KLD probably thinks he’s doing a canny job.

Back at day 1.

With Keane I thought he might have dragged the club up off it's knees and got us promoted. Can't see anyone else having enough impact on the club or the fans tbh. A 5th season in this league is edging closer, might be longer with those running the club.

Trying to be positive . . .

Almost done, Keanes agent drops to the media he isn’t coming. Sunderland see the reaction and panic, ring up and suddenly another another of Keane’s demands are met.

I simply refuse to believe our owner and DoF are stupid enough to not do everything at this point to get him.
wakeup call , its not happening now

Yep, guessing we’re in for another week or so of waiting

Unfortunately, I’m not surprised about this. The fact that after over a week of take he turned us down is very telling in how the ownership is conducting business. Here we go with another cheap “parkinson” type appointment and no light at the end of the tunnel that is us in league 1.

I’m not sure anyone knows what “done deal” is anymore, for it to be a done deal we’d just be waiting on scarf pictures, Keane hasn’t walked cos he couldn’t be arsed with a few pictures and an interview I know.
People desperate to get in first with news. I’ve no doubt there are posters on here who know stuff. Why not just tell the truth instead of exaggerating I.e. the club want Keane and Keane wants the job, details still to be finalised. Instead of jumping the gun to try and appear the most ITK with DEAL DONE etc.

On Friday night Roy Keane said that the ‘contract had to be right’ live on ITV. The following Wednesday it falls through because of ‘contractual issues’; so it’s been going on a while and he’s turned it down. So unprofessional and an absolute car crash of leadership
I’m going to get shot down in flames here but what has Roy Keane actually done to deserve a mega bucks contract and all of the adulation on here. A couple of good seasons a decade ago when he had masses of cash to throw around.

Just vile, has zero respect for anyone, from players to staff. Nobody gets on with him, got told he was digging his heels in last week about Keane. Imo worried cos Keane will challenge his authority. He likes yes men, it’s his way, or no way. Absolute bell end, and an all round rotten bloke. We will end out with another yes man.
That makes depressing reading. Do you know if he was a KDL appointment?
