i said that from day one..he wont work with a DOF because his era didnt really have them...

In keanes interview with Gary Neville he cites recruitment as one of his main success points at Sunderland. The owners could have addressed this about 2 weeks ago with Keane and concluded he wasn’t an option .

Could this be because we’ve wasted two games and ruined automatics?

Useless *****

In previous interviews he's actually said that he would manage us "in the conference" if asked.

I don't think those performances would have affected him.

IF he's turned us down it'll be for other reasons.

i said during the week..there is no doubt roy keane can earn £1m a year from TV work after dinner speaking and commercial deals he does....and league one managers dont get [paid anything like that..so it was always going to be a challenge for him to accept it

Nothing to do with money ffs. He's not an idiot - he knows what League One managers get paid and if he was money-driven, he wouldn't even have shown an interest.

This is all down to the glorified organiser of youth-team parents' evenings Speakman, protecting his corrosive little "philosophy" and not wanting to be challenged by someone with actual football experience.

I guess they'd have to establish how he could possibly be able to manage the two, managing a club whilst being able to fulfil some of his media commitments.
