But that setup is shite, isn't it?I genuinely think Keane is a bit different to back in the day. We also had no setup in the club etc so help identify players, it's a bit different now.
Thing is, as you know, I've wanted him back for a long time. I make no apologies when I say I love the bloke. So if it does go tits up this time - which let's face it, we're not that lucky, it probably will - I'm gonna be left thinking the timing probably wasn't right.See I half have this opinion. If I was Keane I’d be insulted that he’s basically said he wants the job yet still hasn’t got it.
Hope he doesn’t for our sake though.
When have i heard this before? You must be logged on to see media items
And I fuckin' hate him for that.Well Kenwyne clearly wasn’t one of his men. Basically said as much at that talk in.
If not by end of tomorrow it's almost certainly not happening imo.If we don’t hear by this afternoon think the Keane dream is over
His man-management of Kenwyne was a disgrace.Well Kenwyne clearly wasn’t one of his men. Basically said as much at that talk in.
6.45, team news?Supposedly an announcement before the game tonight.
Ignore since the anti SD CM JS the media guy still looks on itJust as a matter of interest, do they ever come on here to see what people are thinking, or just give us a good ignoring?
Remember our first match at the emirates? And I fuckin' hate him for that.
I love Kenwyne Jones. He's probably in my top 5.
I will give it until tonight's game to see if hes in the stands or not.If we don’t hear by this afternoon think the Keane dream is over
Appalling marra. His man-management of Kenwyne was a disgrace.
Just reminded me of Kenwyne's quote re Bruce on What The Falk: "I wouldn't recommend Steve Bruce to anybody."
Agree on the urgency. I suspect if until the end of the season, that would be Keane's choice, although I think after the last defeat it's more of a longer term goal now. I've said it loads and I get the counter arguments but sacking a manager in our position is nearly always going to negatively impact our target. It is on reflection, but it’s a must that we offer him at least 18 months. Would be harsh just to offer a short term deal to any canditate imo.
They also do need to hurry up, our caretaker bosses don’t have a clue bless them. At least Sbragia was tactically okay to begin with.
I was thinking more like forgetting about instant promotion pushes from the Championship because serious money would still have to be spent merely to consolidate there, but yes, the availability of enough money and who gets to use it is still relevant.Of course, if we do go up we will need better quality players in for another promotion push. If the owner doesn't put the money in next season then we stand little chance of getting near top end. That is a good question and where I would have my doubts about handing it all over to Keane to deal with.
I think Keane should have his say on players coming in, he is managing them but I don't think we should be giving him full reigns to spend whatever he wants for players coming in.
I reckon by the end of a week next Friday. If we've not heard by then the Keane dream is over. And potentially the Neil nightmare too.If not by end of tomorrow it's almost certainly not happening imo.
