He was sacked as he took them from 7th to 16th in the space of a couple of years.I asked last week , but didn't get an answer , "why did Neil leave Preston , was he sacked , were the results crap , anybody know ' ?
None of them.I think he’s a better choice than McCann or Lennon but f***ing hell it’s depressing
Norwich fans think he was unfairly sacked. Club sided with the three of the six players who went clubbing after a Xmas party when they’d all been told specifically no to beforehand. The only other fans I’ve personal contact with who’ve been similarly angry were a few Watford lads when Dyche got the push. Though both clubs have punched above their weight since so both decisions werent too wrong.Sadly he's as good as were likely to get if we don't go for Keane, or take a punt on someone like Terry. And it's pretty depressing. Got Norwich up via a play off, relegated, then sacked for not being in a play off place the next season. Gets Preston 7th, then 14th, then 9th, then sacked with them 16th. I know people have said it was a hard job etc but he's never built anything. To me that record suggests he's yet another bang average plodder who might get lucky (maybe a striker who happens to be a great signing etc) but overall has very little ability and couldn't give confidence that he'd get us promoted. It really has to be someone to give the fans a boost, depressing as owt if it's someone like Neil rocking up
That’s because he went out of his way to kill any momentum or feel good factor we had going into Saturdays game with that unnecessary interview. Then the pathetic performance made him look even stupider. There's no doubt that the club has painted themselves into a corner. Clear that Keane is the prime candidate for both the club and the fans. If they get it done - or even already have it agreed - then it doesn't matter. Failing to get it over the line will leave primarily KLD and his brother looking incredibly foolish. Speakman will be the one getting it in the neck, though.
Don’t have any and I’m not generally ITK (if I was I’d be down the bookies to lump on the next manager) and it’s not exactly earth shattering news just know this with 100% accuracy. What are your credentials as ITK?
Canny bit of comma action going on there, marra, likeKeane, looks to be taking some persuading, which is concerning. As is Speakman's issuing of what appears to me, to be a holding statement designed to keep others on the list from feeling they're second choice, should Keane, reject the job.

He was almost bragging about how long his “process” is.
I know you probably know better than most if it’s Keane or not but fuck me it’s depressing otherwise.None of them.
Well Neils got a Grayson haircut. Once Neil gets us back into the PL and a couple of cups under his belt it’ll be the most popular haircut on Wearside. Its gonna be another Grayson. I can feel it in my bones.
The club have ballsed up PR wise on this one.I know you probably know better than most if it’s Keane or not but fuck me it’s depressing otherwise.
It really said it all didn’t it? Wrighty knew for sure.Still think from Keanes reaction on TV last night this is a done deal.
What did he do?Still think from Keanes reaction on TV last night this is a done deal.

AgreedRather Neil than McCann or Lennon.
However it has to be Keane.
