I f***ing hope, with all possible hope, that Roy Maurice Keane is announced today.

No more f***ing around, no more "No comments", No more interviews. If it's to happen it needs to happen today.

Speakman has dropped a clanger here, he needs to recognise his mistake and own it, and ultimately fix it.
The irony for me is that the rationale for Johnson’s dismissal was to maximise the chances of promotion/automatic promotion.

Due to ‘process’ , we have since sleepwalked into arguably our easiest remaining game and lost it. And are in danger of doing the same with 2 games where I would have expected us to have earmarked 6 more points, certainly 4.

People pinning their hopes on Keane as some sort of messiah are deluded. So are the clubs if they think Keane would get us promoted or is a long term option.

If we were in lock down these players would of got promotion . But I am afraid they bottle it in front of an expecting crowd . So its matless who we get in
? II'll pass. Seriously tho - you're correct about them bottling it, but because of that your second bit is bollix. Obviously we require someone who can motivate a (mostly) young talented team, set clear expectations and imprint a winning mentality on them. Someone who can help them use the crowd to their advantage rather than their detriment. Now who could do that I wonder?

I think you can still have a matless magic carpet though.

@ShieldsBlackCat2015 ?

Or you're one of the gullible lot who can't read between the lines.

It's like a f***ing scene out of the Simpson the way some people are going on.
I don't know where your from mate but I'm from Sunderland and I play with a straight bat! So fevk gullible. And trot on!

Can still see Wigan & Rotherham dropping a fair few, the problem is currently I can’t see us capitalising on it

it's the norm for us,been there so many times over the last few seasons, and for whatever reason bottled it,i thought we'd cracked it a few weeks back when we went top, albeit for a few hours, then reality kicks in and we've been nowhere near since, itt's kinda weird this happening time and time again, plus for a side aspiring to promotion our away record's bloody atrocious

Keane did last time he was here but the difference was he was able to bring in a few key players who already had a winning mentality. Kavanagh, Yorke, Liam Miller and David Connolly to name a few, they would’ve made his task a lot easier.

I think he’ll work well with Defoe, Bailley Wright and Pritchard and mebbes Winchester but the majority of our players are bottle jobs (as mentioned a few times on this thread!)

That's guesswork though. Yes he has managed himself for a while but doesn't mean it wouldnt work out in his next job.

Never mind opening concourses, one more result and performance like Saturday and they could probably close a couple of stands.

My feeling exactly at the minute like, I’m all for a long term plan, but management and corporate bullshit for the sake of it, is one of my biggest gripes in life.

One of my biggest problems with LJ was the above and it seems Speakman is very much in the mould. If you have the right man, that has the skills and the fans backing, balls to processes and all the silliness, just do what’s right.

Goals generally haven't been that much of an issue and like you say, the addition of Defoe has only strengthened that.
My issue this season is that from day 1, nobody seems to know our strongest back 3,4,or5 (depending on set up).
Stop conceding, and you're in the game.
The goals will take care of themselves.
You talk a good game! I’m guessing you struggled to get a game for your primary school and never coached a team in your life! But hey - don’t let that stop you being the resident big gob who knows nowt!
