Got the feeling it's a no go
Go back to bed then and stay there till he is appointed over the next day or so

Think about it, it’s well documented that he wants to get back into management and he loves us and wants the job. Do you think Speakman would risk bringing in Warnock or McCann now!!!

just concerned, say he gets appointed and we don't get into the play offs, what happens then ? will get some people calling for his head no doubt.

Top 2 was gone even if we'd won ten nowt yesterday.Clinging on for a PO spot is now the challenge
I agree but 15 games is enough to secure the playoffs and go into them with a bit of form and confidence, the top 2 is gone now so as shit and depressing as it sounds getting in the playoffs now has to be our priority.

Yes because he’s more interested in his own self promotion than the best thing for the club.

Keane won’t stand for any of his management pseudospeak bollocks and he knows it, so if anyone comes along who will then that’s who’ll be appointed then Speakman can blame “the wrong implementation of the philosophy” when it goes tits up rather than the fact it’s his fault.

If we’d won ten nowt yesterday we’d have still had an outside chance with fixtures against Wigan and Rotherham to come. There’s no chance now. It’s hard to see us winning half of our games let alone the 13 or 14 we’d probably need.
with a defence that is leaking goals ( remember doncaster only score 11 away goal before yesterday , could and possibly have been 4 nowt up at ht ) got nee chance, be surprised if won 5 games.

One of the first things Keane has to do is make these players realise they're playing for Sunderland, we're the biggest fish in this pond and there's a minimum performance level expected of us. He's said on numerous occasions it's not players limited skills that bother him. It's commitment and application of the skills they have.

BSA literally said the same thing when he came in, where certain stats had to be met and once they were you'd win more matches. Once he got us upto his required levels we had our good run.

There’s a big assumption that it’s going to be Keane there!

Things can change with chances of a top two finish but I tend to agree automatics look out of reach. We need to appoint Keane or whatever choice we go with and if it is the play offs go into them in good form full of confidence not dreading them...

David Walsh of the Sunday Times on Roy Keane & TS Eliot:

Snippet:

"What did he mean? It would depend upon the club, he said. And then he brought up Sunderland. The point was that if by some freak of disastrous results, Sunderland lost their place in the Football League and he was asked to become their manager, he would seriously consider the offer. Even if they were non-League, Sunderland, he said, were a club with a fine history, a great stadium, a big and passionate following."

I absolutely love Keane

The more it drags on the less confident I am of it happening. I really expected him to be at the game yesterday so it's obviously not as close as we thought on Friday. This club man!

My fears about Keane ...I have reservations about Keane ....

1) ....I believe he comes in , and when things are going well his man management skills will be really good .However when things are not going well home truths will be told ...but that will include things like shouting in players faces and pulling them down ....some players will love this and see it as a challenge to prove him wrong ...some will hate it and lose respect for him ...but the problems is with those that hate it ,Keane just can't simply get rid ...he has to wait till the window reopens ...

2) Keane will soon discover that some players lack certain skill sets for promotion and If we don't go up he will go to speakman and say he is my list of experienced pros to get us out of this league ...speakman will reply .."but Roy they don't fit our data models and we want to look at youth ...oh and by the way we are accepting bids for our better players" ......At Sunderland and Ipswich he brought in the players ...how will he adapt to our new model .......if I was Keane I'd want full control on transfers before I signed

Will he bring a feel good factor to the fans ...yes the likes of mccann will never do that ....but I'm still not sure hes the right choice
