They have to appoint a football manager/coach in time for the next game. They are taking on more water than the Tiranic. Obviously, want it to be Keane but whatever game they were playing has been blown out of the water after yesterday.

Speakman attempts to give an air of calmness and suggests he knows what he is doing, the place is absolutely rudderless and a major opportunity was missed yesterday.

What’s the point of youth coaches as Sunderland that can’t instil a bit of backbone in their players and make them understand what it will be like playing for a club like Sunderland? They can’t because they have not played for a club like Sunderland or like Michael Proctor, failed miserably and wilted.

That’s true, agreed. If they had even bothered to watch a video of the Bolton game and have a semblance of understanding football, it would have been impossible to come up with that 11 yesterday. It isn’t hindsight either, nearly everyone was saying it before the game.

The 3 lads that came on at Bolton were the only bright sparks yet only Pritchard started and the other new signing isn’t coming to play with his confidence shot after a 0-6 either yet the 3 clowns come up with that? Absolute chancers imo.

You’d think the appointment would be made today, take training Monday, try to have at least some sort of impact on Tuesdays game else well sleep walk to another embarrassing defeat, times running out, his absolute goal will be to stabilise and keep us in those play off spots
he's at the Liverpool Cardiff match today so maybe will be announced shortly afterwards

Agree 100% but just shows you that they didn’t have it in them to upset anyone. KLD May as well have been in the dugout.

I’d imagine that it’ll be because they didn’t offer him what he wanted, given that he himself said on live TV on Friday that “the contracts got to be right”.

And I’ll be livid if that happens. Give him what he wants and let him deliver some fukcing home truths. The club is crying out for some straight talking. It’s drowning in ineffective “philosophies” and “structures”.
Does it not depend a little on what it is that he actually wants. Or does that not matter at all?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is announced at some point this afternoon

The team needs resetting slightly in that it needs to go and do the basics - get our shape right, close down often, tighten up at the back and build from there

We have the forward talent in the squad to get goals but we always look like conceding. Got done by a ball over the top yesterday!

Was impressed with Matete when he come on, he has close ball control and he is able to carry the ball too
