This page is absolutely mental. This bloke with the right backing literally dragged us off our knees kicking and screaming into the premier league where he kept us! Yes he left. So does pretty much everyone.

He now may come back with the club at its lowest ebb and raise the bar of acceptability and accountability in our performances. Does he inspire a long term? not for me,but 2/3 years of this blokes professionalism and attitude is what we need. No more accepting being shite. No more trying is enough. Results matter!

Come on Roy help restore this club to where you’ve taken it before

If he’s there today it’s his job. In all honesty I don’t want him back as I just can’t see it working or tie in with the clubs new philosophy. I love the bloke and the memories his sides provided. However with all the hype it’s already generated anyone else is on a hiding to nothing so I think the owner is going to have to give the majority what they want. That would seem to be Roy Keane.
Then enjoy any reflected glory.

Keane was the best we've had since PR.

Bring it on.

I suspect he was only a couple of games away from the sack anyway.

People are forgetting in his last few months we were awful. His last game in charge we got thrashed at home to Bolton & in the relegation zone.
Keane would have kept us up. We only won about 3/4 games between November and end of season

If it is Keane can you imagine all those incompetent referees in league 1 who when refereeing Sunderland at the sol always seem to think it's about them.

They'll be even worse ffs

Last time he was here that was why Dwight Yorke was so important. It wasnt just his ability on the ball but his skill at mKing referees listen to him.

Like Defoe, he’ll be a multi millionaire.
If either were arguing over a grand here n there I question their desire.
It’s about the dogs mate....prime seats wanted, KLD is furious apparently

Nah you are right I can understand the comments re desire from both parties wanting this but the contract one was interesting must be about something else other than money, maybe it’s length of contract, tv work

It must be a difficult contract to work out for Keane. I presume he'll have to settle for league 1 salary for us to stay within the salary cap but negotiate a huge bonus for promotion, which I think is allowed ?
It might not be money - could just as easily be time. He might not want a short term deal if he thinks he's the right man.

Sbragia won 6 games between Dec- May & probably benefited from the new manager bounce as we had a decent little run insist first few games

No ones knows if he would've kept us up or not.
