Verbal agreement according to some. So, it’s not done then!
It does appear strange .the KLD liking a Keane thread..as the EFL appear to want to turn the interviewing for a new manager into as professional process as possible VIS a VIs the requirement to interview a BAME candidate..so in the professional world of business nobody on the interview panel would like a post from a candidate for a position prior to interview as it demonstrates bias.I agree with you that it does sound strange but encouraging if your in the keane for manager camp !I reckon they’ve spoke before today. No way is KLD and his brother liking posts about Keane coming back at the beginning of the week if they had no intention of getting him. You surely wouldn’t do that when you still have to wait several days before even interviewing?
KLD: “Great interview…(*pat on head)..NEXT!!”Interviewed well ?
Maybe not, perhaps he will be in a box then and give us a lift for the game like last time he was appointed. Can't see Keane being keen (no pun intended) on wandering onto the pitch (as Raker mentioned earlier) like a circus act.
Or stick to in-depth, properly researched probing pieces. For which the market would likely approach zero (present company excepted, of course, ha, ha). In this so-called Post Truth World, it seems that the vast majority prefer any old shite to actual facts, many believing that their views on complex matters hold equal value to those of an acknowledged expert in the particular field in question & (strictly in terms of who believes what & whose opinions carry weight) it seems they're right, ha, ha.The social media age is to blame like. Journos would get time to research prep and write articles but now they get usurped by a club DJ in a woolly hat with a smart phone so have to churn out regular regurgitated baseless pap.
Don't forget that apart from getting 3 points the emphasis of tomorrows match is about celebrating the return of JD and most important raising money for the Bradley's foundation. You must be logged on to see media items
Programme already printed and is devoted to JD.
Nothing presumably about Keane.
We won't hear anything until Sunday/Monday now I think.
Hopefully.Maybe not, perhaps he will be in a box then and give us a lift for the game like last time he was appointed.
A psychological lift, not actually drive the coach.
It’s ok, one of the Sky producers will just write him a script for when he’s having his interview and contract negotiations. He‘ll be alright with that.Did you not read that Keane doesn't have an agent and his lawyer is deed so they probably have the ouji board out trying to summon his spirit to check the contract ower before he signs it with a quil and his blood. All this takes time man.
Don’t know much about him but any objections to him being appointed are definitely amplified by Keane being in the frame. Understandably too. If we want personality get Micah involved too!!It's more that he's just a dull boring option, with or without Keane being in the frame.
It would be a Parkyesque appointment.
Punditry
Which in football means nothing.Verbal agreement according to some.
From what I hear, it's dependant on whether or not a short term initial contract and subject to review at season's end is viable for Mr Keane, bearing in mind he'd have to relinquish some Sky punditry revenue in the short term.
If I were a journalist (as most of them guess or make it up anyway) based on everything I've heard this week this is what I'd write...
'Roy Keane will hold face to face talks later today with the Sunderland Owner after a telephone call two days ago where both parties expressed a 'keen' interest in Roy becoming the next SAFC manager. Whilst sources say that Grant McCann has interviewed well today and the Club would be confident in his appointment, the choice of Keane as the favoured option has been secured because of the hugely positive fan reaction to the possibility of Keane returning and the uplift this is likely to give the stalled promotion push.
Keane has apparently been talking to Sky and his other current employers in recent days to pave the way for a potential move and it seems all are willing to work around that possibility. Terms wont be an issue as both parties at this point are Keane to make it happen, the only doubt remaining is whether the two parties will see eye to eye in a face to face meeting. Should terms be agreed later today an announcement before Saturdays must-win clash with Doncaster Rovers is still a slight possibility, but Keane would not be taking charge until after the weekend at the earliest.
Lets be honest - this is probably where we are. The
Well, KCB, having read your attempt at journalese, it seems my own training and career in the business was not completely wasted. If I were a journalist (as most of them guess or make it up anyway) based on everything I've heard this week this is what I'd write...

Lets be honest - this is probably where we are. The journos are crap.
It’s the logical evolution of tabloid journalism mate. Say nothing important but say it loud enough and you get heard.Or stick to in-depth, properly researched probing pieces.
