Roy KeaneWhere’s this ‘immediate boost’ coming from?
I didn’t say wise I said wiserNot too sure about that watching the occasional rant on a Sunday when he's got no real skin in the game.
So you didn’t enjoy his time here?He was here more than one season but let's forget all the rest of his bullshit
I have no idea could mean something, it might not, his brother likes a lot of Newcastle posts as wellWhy would KLD like that post though, knows what hes doing
Where’s this ‘immediate boost’ coming from?
Might be something to do with last time he was here mate.Where’s this ‘immediate boost’ coming from?
This sounds positive, cheers.Don't pretend to be ITK these days but my contacts who ought to be tell me that contact has been made. Largely third parties at this stage but things could move quickly.
Saying that, the club will have more than one egg - and more than one basket.
But if you wanted an appointment to get an immediate reaction, this would be it.
Then it turns to bad feeling, quite like defoe , keane is going backwardsAye like the 6-0 drubbing At Bolton, 5-1 at Rotherham, 4-0 at Pompey
It will raise standards by him simply being here
They will be in awe of a bit of fear for your boss is not always a bad thing, they’ll think twice about giving up like above that’s for sure
The expectation of Sunderland is nothing to him all the other candidates mentioned will wilt like the others
This - Keane struggled for us when we got players with more ability in, the likes of Cisse, Diouf and Chimbonda. I always got the impression he was fine with 'lesser ability' players, as long as they put effort in and he could see desire etc....Better players?
We had some bog standard Championship players such as Nyron Nosworthy! Dean Whitehead and Liam Lawrence were hardly superstars![]()
Come onWhat a f***ing boost this would be to absolutely everybody involved with the club man. The entire squad should be buzzing, playing alongside Defoe and potentially for Roy Keane.
Come on
And long may the word philosophy be banned from every conversationEmperors New Clothes would be Lee Johnson. Talk of reputation of youth development, fast paced football, philosophies etc. having achieved nowt in the game.
Keane came here first time with no experience, took us from bottom of the league to promotion in the same season and kept us up. I don’t think anyone thinks he was perfect last time or that this doesn’t come without it’s issues.
But it’s Roy Keane. A massive name in the game. He’s achieved success here before. He’s not afraid of expectation or ambition. A lot of the time he was here it felt very good. I, and most others, think this is as exciting an appointment as is imaginable at this level of football.
Here fishy fishy……
Didnt know that, hes on the black list!I have no idea could mean something, it might not, his brother likes a lot of Newcastle posts as well
Populist, but not an intelligent choice. Sequels are never as good as the original.
That's fair enough; if we believe we have the best squad in the division, it might be enough (I think that was the case in 06/07).
My concern is that it might be short-term thinking. And I know we have to get out of this division immediately, don't get me wrong. But should we not be looking to get a manager who can do that and also be expected to bring us on further in the Championship?
I know it's not easy, because a lot of managers are spoofers, and I'm all for Keane getting an interview. I just don't think we should limit ourselves in the interview process and pick the best candidate, regardless of their profile.
Just look at this thread mate, the club will be buzzing. Who else is going to do a better short term job?Where’s this ‘immediate boost’ coming from?
