magical thinking that Keane would suddenly become a good manager just because he's back at Sunderland even though he's tried and failed elsewhere and the top two leagues won't touch him.

It's not about sentimental redemption fairy tales : we need the absolute best manager we can attract at this level on our budget.

He's interviewed for Championship jobs and said no himself by the sounds of it

If KLD is liking posts (and he did the same before Defoe was announced) then the job is already Keane’s imo.

Remember when he was just in the stands before being announced as manager and the effect that had on the team.

Agreed. KLD is not stupid, and he’s social-media savvy. This is his way of cranking up the hysteria ahead of an official announcement. He did exactly the same with Defoe.

I also don’t believe that Keane is still waiting for an interview tomorrow. KLDs social media “antics” suggest he’s already been offered/accepted the job.

He was a good manager at Sunderland

He was better than good

Nobody else could have done what he did

We were heading for league one make no mistake about it

Anyone know which other coaches keane usually works with (who else he could bring in)?
Wasn’t it Tony loughlan assistant? Off top of me head that without checking mind. Sure I’ve seen him on someone’s staff recently in the premier league. Possibly Burnley?
