Why do people quote the money spent? They’ve got no shortage of it. They’ve overpaid, they clearly will always do that being run by this set up, but they’ve strengthened and they’ll stay up. Then come the summer they’ll clear out and spend an utter fortune.
I don't think they will stay up. I honestly think they'll go down. And when they do, I'll laugh my cock off.

Those Saudi bots are like locusts arent they?
Unbelievable marra. All "how can a 3rd division club comment, etc."

I literally posted one comment and they were on it like flies round shit.

They're not bothered about us though. Not at all.
Nearly missed it with all the Jermain Defoe hype, but ....

STEVE WRAITH SUCKS GANGSTERS OFF.

FTM
Swallows anarl. Allegedly.

Stay up? Are you sure?

Trippier is a decent signing for the money. However, attacking is his strength. They badly needed defenders.

They've bought 2, yes 2 lower premier league left backs! OK 1 has occasionally played CH. He's a 6' 7" beanpole. He's also overpriced.

They've bought an unproven, in the top leagues, Brazilian who can't get in the Brazil team ahead of Fred. Again way overpriced.

They've spunked £25 million on a horrendously out of form striker. 3 goals in 23 games none since November.

£90M plus wages against their FFP future spending power. Oh dear.

Today:
Donny van de Beek & Dele Alli sign for Everton, Dan Burn and Matt Targett join Newcastle.

Snigger...

We have dodged a bullet with Dele Alli. Not half as good as he seems to think he is.
Trippier is a good signing. Nobody will dissuade me from that opinion.
The others, i tend to agree, we will have to wait and see, I have never heard of the Brazilian. That said, when we were linked with him last week, there were many opinions that we had no chance / would sign for Arsenal / was too good for us.....

6/4 is buying money if you really think so.

You tried to sign Lingaard and a CH from Spain for more or less the whole window. Huge failures. Also the kid from France too.

You've had to settle for a player Villa didn't want and an overpriced journey man from Brighton.

Deli Alli could be Everton's Lingaard. He's lost his way at Spurs but pedigree wise he's at least on a par with Trippier.

All in all it's been a great window for piss taking Sunderland fans 😂

I didn't mean to pose an argument that the window has been a mess. It clearly has.
Can't agree with the Alli v Trippier comparison. Trippier has consistently performed at a much higher standard than Alli. Alli couldn't get a game at a stuttering Spurs. Trippier was playing in one of the best teams in Europe in Madrid.
The lad from Villa might improve us. Not seen enough of him to form an opinion to be fair.

Deli Alli, like Trippier was one of the main players for England in the 2018 world cup! He's played in Europe many times for Spurs.

He's played 181 games and scored 51 goals for Spurs. Those club stats aren't far behind Frank Lampard!

He's entering what should be the prime years of his career. If he can recapture anything like his previous form he'll be a superb signing for Everton. Big if obviously.

I think Targett is a decent signing tbf but I expected more from them. Fingers crossed they go down quicker than Katie Price
Targett has been let go by Southampton and Villa now

He’s a nothing bottom 6 LB
