He has literally had 3 full seasons as a regular premier league footballer which isn’t a lot for a 29 year old. He managed 9 games in Fulham’s relegation season so I’m discounting that.
He's done canny at full back but you have to wonder why Brighton haven't played him in the middle with his height. I very much doubt Newcastle have signed him to play full back either.

He's a below average PL CB, that's for sure.

Well if they have their CB position will still be absolutely fucked.

I don't think they've significantly strengthened the side though. Not enough to claw them out of the relegation zone.

As an aside, I do think Dan Burn and Lascelles have the potential to make a horrendous CB partnership like. Lascelles is reported to be quite error prone these days and Dan Burn will not have the pace to cover him. Both are dreadful on the ball, especially problematic with How's style of play. Yes Burn will bring some much needed height but the potential for clumsiness is blatant.

Apart from the Brazilian (who could turn out to be brilliant or a total flop), I think that's been a bang average way to spend the best part of £100M for them. Even Trippier has hardly set the heather alight in fixtures against some pretty unimpressive opposition so far.

Unless they pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat tomorrow, I still fancy it to go down to the wire between the bottom 4.

Imagine if Weghorst sends them down

Aye they were all trying to say that Chris Wood was actually a good signing because it “weakens a relegation rival”.

That only works if Burnley leave the £25m sat in their bank account for some inexplicable reason. If they go and spend half of it on a Dutch international who is almost certainly better than Wood, then you have actually strengthened them, and have taken an utter carthorse off their hands who you will now have to play up front for the next few
months.

Doesn’t really seem a brilliant move to me.

I’d be surprised if Lingard leaves now that Mason Greenwood is in the shit.

They’ll have no squad left as Donny is also leaving.

Yeah, especially since if Greenwood’s out of the picture then Ronaldo would have to be too, given what’s on the record about him

…or maybe not!
