Today’s trouble at the match

Took my son for his 12th birthday and his mate. We left just after the 3rd when the trouble started. I doubt I’ll be taking him to an away game again for a while. Both of them were scared. As a parent I’m not prepared to have my lad or his friend in that situation again. Lad directly behind me was trying to snap his seat, I assume to through it at their fans. That was it. Arm around them both and escorted out. What the fuck the police were doing was beyond me. Never once tried to crack down on both sets of fans as the antagonising started very early in the match. Yesterday’s trouble could have should have been avoided by some tough policing early on in the day.

I was in the upper tier and there was trouble at halftime with the police

There’s a distinct difference between starting a sale process on 20+ LPs for Bolton and 70+ for Cheltenham :lol::oops:
 
Heard about the trouble in the upper tier. I was lower tier and there was instances of our fans fighting each other at half time down the back. One bloke had a very nasty gash above his right eye. Was wide open. Hopefully he’s ok.
I left when the 4th went in and found and Asda. Sat on the bus supping bottles for the rest of it.
Not the best of away days I’ve had

I’m 39 and it’s been like this since I can remember.
Today we’ve been absolutely battered by Bolton with 5300 fans there most of which have made a day of it by having a few beers.

If there wasn’t people kicking off I’d be gutted.

There should be fuckin hell on after that today.

This is our 4th year in league 1 and we’ve been battered 3 times now at least this season away from home with huge numbers at each of the games.

No it hasn’t mate - people haven’t been setting off flares, throwing bottles and generally acting like dicks for years.

Having a few beers is one thing, getting coked off your face and throwing things and acting like a twat is another.
 
I was in the upper and posted it on a different thread. Tried to get a drink at half time, absolutely packed. Stood at a quieter bit with kids, then watched as flares lit, alarms going off. Shutters put down, lads jumping up kicking shutters watching people trying to get their kids out, some in tears. Shit being threw about and said to kids, it’s shocking behaviour and sad that some of these idiots represent our club. We left after 4th goal and pleased to avoid the crap that was obvious would occur after. After we left could see police outside prepping their riot gear. Sad day, not just the result.
 
Stayed till the end (I know daft me eh) - was quite a bit of trouble outside ground on walk to train station.
TBF me and my daughter (no) kept our distance and had a good laugh at it all, stupid stone island wannabies prancing about throwing things - but then police got very heavy handed and started battering people and throwing them around.
We walked off a bit quicker after that, daughters put it all on snapchat :lol:

TBF to Bolton fans we ended up in wrong queue for train with all the Bolton lot, it was a bit heated but a few walked us the right way

This was a ridiculous call by Bolton. They had a bottle bar, but they had to put the drinks in plastic glasses. The bottles of Carling were in plastic bottles but the cider was glass. Even when I was queuing for a drink, the lad next to me ordered 3 and when the lad behind the counter put 3 bottles on the counter and had poured 2, the lad took the 3rd bottle and walked off.
It's as much Bolton's fault for allowing that and not checking fans when they went up into the stands, and it's also the blame of the morons for chucking them in the first place.

Yes there was bother in our corner, but why do people allow themselves to get wound up by some little spenks? We'd have been giving it the biggun if we were 4-0+ up but you don't have to react.
 
Bolton has never been a friendly place, always had trouble with Sunderland don’t know why but this isn’t a new thing here strange to have bother with them no idea why but it always happens.

You would be surprised with the history witu Bolton bud see above this ground and their fans always always start trouble
