Today’s trouble at the match

The way some fans went on at half time on the concourse didnt shine the best light either. 2 smoke bombs set off, fire alarms going off. Partying like we had won the league swinging from the rafters not getting humped off relegation fodder, the football is an afterthought to a fair few.
Correct!

No excuse for throwing bottles into a crowd of people were there'll be families and innocent people.
If two groups of idiots want to smash into each other, fine, but bottles are a coward's trick. I hope the perpetrators are found on cctv and dealt with accordingly.

One lad on Totalsport tonight said some of the trouble was due to one of our fans having a fall in the stadium and got a badly smashed face, blood all ower, concussion, etc. The Sunderland were screaming at the stewards to get the paramedics but the police waded in thinking the fans were trying to cause trouble and it all blew up around this poor injured fan. Hope he's ok.

When our bus pulled away from the ground we noticed some bother on the dual carriageway next to the bus park. I noticed that about 5 Sunderland fans got kettled by about 20 plod.

Bottles were from their lot. Coins , lighters , vape pens the lot came.across at us all game. Police and stewards were a disgrace . Some of our lot threw bottles back probably out of frustration with the inept policing and stewarding

Missed the trouble as I went to the ticket office and failed to get served for their end. Told the woman I was a member and wanted NOrth Stand upper. She said , ''home or away ?'' I said its the home end. She asked me 3 times home or away end. I said do you want me to have an away ticket or something. She said I cant sell you a ticket then. Listened on the radio at Bolton services. Sounds like I got lucky. Short drive home to Blackpool

That’s incorrect.

Wasn’t down at half time but heard some young lads (18 / 19) near me saying there was hell on down there at half-time. I was in the upper tier.

Too many young lads around as usual not able to handle their drink / coke and spend more time looking for their mates and wandering about than watching the game.
