Yes from me page 3,too many lightweights like embo,Neil,Dajaku then add Doyles form of late and its a recipe for disaster
Cannot agree more ,these players think all they have to do is turn out at the SOL .The players at BOLTON deserved all the praise they worked their socks off .We (Sunderland ) thought we had to just turn up .NO we are not good enough .
Me personally ,i feel angry and humiliated to support this team .Cmon guys sort it out .We have a major fan base stop letting us down .

Again, I'll say the obvious point of my original post, Winchester didn't track a man that was 2 yards behind him and allows a simple tap in. That is down to the player wanting to track back by doing the basics that shouldn't require a manager to tell him what to do.

I don't need to say owt about Johnson's incompetence as he should go but I've had previous with TravellingMackem (as have many others) as he jumps on posts. I'll entertain myself with him so don't take what I said in that post you quoted seriously, it was more that Collins said exactly what I'd criticized about Winchester, nothing more ;)

If I wanted to comment about Johnson I'd post in the Sack Him Now or Johnson Out thread but there's not much to say apart from sack him now and Johnson out anyway ;)
Winchester is certainly a conundrum. When he's on his game and up for it we usually play well but there are times like today when he seems to have chosen the wrong sport without any notion whatsover of what he's there for. He looked way off the pace.

Bladdered 4 nil at Pompey
5-1 at Rotherham
3 nil at Sheff Wed
6 nil at Bolton.

Totally unacceptable.
Home defeats to Charlton & Lincoln as well when they were bottom 5

Throwing away TWO leads to 10 men sides who were in the bottom 5

Losing 3 consecutive cup games to bottom half 4th division sides (albeit one on pens with a weakened side).

They bang on about “the project”, but the only project is getting out of this league this season. That is it.

Agreed.
Similar was pointed out to Speakman, who insisted the club's transfer policy, is the right one.
Perhaps they'll now have a rethink ?
You'd hope so, we're weak as piss through the middle, and for all Dan Neil will be a top player he needs a break but there's no one to come in to fill the gap.

The own goal is genuinely the best one I've ever seen.
Their last goal was quite Defoesque

He has looked very much the Fourth Division player we signed in all but a handful of games ( at right back)

You missed one 2-0 at Fleetwood with 5 minutes to go

As a kid i remember coming out of the pictures with my auntie and having tea in South Shields, picking up a football echo and finding out we'd got beat 8-0 by West Ham, Geoff Hurst scoring six of their goals. It really hurt.

I dont know much about the lads who scored against us today but I;d wager not one of them will ever score a hat trick in a world cup final.

that's how far we've dropped. The manager has to pay the price.

There's Danny Collins reviewing the goals and he just pointed out the obvious about Winchester not getting goalside for the 2nd. That's exactly what I said, as I simply said the 2 goals were players mistakes, though Hoffman probably thought ball was coming to him for the 1st. Collins didn't then go on about Johnson after the 2nd so go whinge about Johnson somewhere else 😂

You do realise that Collins is employed by the football club right? So he isn’t going to start criticising the management hierarchy.

The second goal is immaterial when you score 0 goals in a match. We didn’t even have 2 shots to bring it back to 2-2.
I dont think your company can sack you for being a knacker on the Internet. I hope not anyone I'd hate to see you out of work
Sacked in the morning! He’s getting sacked in the morning!

It’s odd logic mind. What you are basically saying is that the players are more at fault than the manager when we get thrashed. Ever thought that the reason why they make so many mistakes is because they aren’t being trained in the basics properly,
Don't be daft, we're all about world class basics, according to LJ.
aren’t being given simple game plans / instructions, aren’t being programmed in a cohesive pattern of play
It's all in blueprint.
and are being told to keep doing the same thing even when it clearly isn’t working?
But that's the protocol, marra. You can't change the protocol.

Tonight I reckon
